Description

Rutherford Cross are supporting a long-established international manufacturer to appoint an Accounts Administrator. This role would be responsible for a range of transactional accounting processes, preparation and processing of accounting data as well as answering accounting queries. This role is based in Paisley and will be supporting a small team of Accounts Administrators.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating accounting systems accurately and efficiently, processing and controlling a range of bookkeeping disciplines
  • Processing cashbooks, sales and purchase ledgers and purchase orders accurately and using a multi-currency system
  • Review of consignment and self-bill information to ensure accurate and timely invoicing
  • Effectively managing all data input, delivering accurate outputs, and taking ownership for making improvements
  • Efficiently carrying out all other general administrative duties e.g. processing of employee expense claims and responsibility for effectively operating the controls around petty cash
  • Assisting in interim and final audit of accounting procedures with external auditors
  • Operating and adhering to all required accounting controls

The ideal candidate:

  • Strong Purchase Ledger experience in a busy commercial or manufacturing environment
  • Sales Ledger or Cash Book experience would be an advantage
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Excel
  • Able to work to strict deadlines and work under pressure
