Description

Rutherford Cross are working in partnership with an award winning firm based in the capital  city of Edinburgh to recruit for a qualified Audit Senior with a mixed client base background to service some of the countries’ leading commercial and industrial clients.

This role will involve planning, running and reporting on audit team on engagements with leading Scottish and UK clients and further afield. There will be set objectives to ensure standards are met as well as compliance.  Keeping up to date with the industry, risks and challenges to ensure market and technical knowledge are of a high standard.  Building, developing and establishing new and existing client relationships for client management and a key part of the role will be to develop new business and clients for future business.  This accounting firm works with some of the most well-known consumer brands in Scotland.

This position will be based out of the head office in Edinburgh’s city centre.  Edinburgh is the sister to London, crossing over on some of the UK’s largest financial services clients. It is the 2nd behind London in the leading economies for the UK.  Edinburgh is often classified as the best city in the UK to live in.  It’s full of character, multi-cultural, a large city but not too big that it’s lost its warmth and friendliness.  It is a key financial market in Europe and some of the world’s biggest names in business including Citi group, Lloyds, Heineken, Diageo and State Street.  The UK & Scottish market is enjoying an uplift in market conditions and the market is set to increase further in 2015.

Candidates for this role are expected to be qualified or about to qualify as well as ideally having an understanding of the UK market.  3 years minimum experience in external auditing and desire to develop and progress in this area is required.  This is an urgent role and therefore looking for someone committed and well researched in a move to Edinburgh.

Due to the high level of applications we are receiving, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted at this time.  We do appreciate your application and will contact you in future if we have a relevant role.
