Description
Rutherford Cross is delighted to be exclusively partnered with one of our key clients to appoint an Interim Finance Business Partner Analyst on an initial 3-month contract.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with 1-2 days per week on-site, and would suit an immediately available qualified accountant or experienced finance professional looking to make an immediate impact within a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.
Working closely with both finance and operational stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and business decision-making. You will provide meaningful insights into financial performance, helping the organisation understand key trends, risks, and opportunities while supporting the delivery of strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles, ensuring financial plans are robust, accurate, and aligned with business objectives
- Partner with budget holders and senior stakeholders across the business to analyse financial performance, challenge assumptions, and provide commercially focused insights
- Investigate and explain variances against budget and forecast, identifying underlying drivers and recommending corrective actions where appropriate
- Maintain and enhance financial models, forecasting tools, and management reports to support effective planning and decision-making
- Produce regular performance reporting and KPI analysis, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities to key stakeholders
- Support scenario modelling and ad hoc financial analysis to assess business initiatives, investment opportunities, and operational changes
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes to drive efficiency and improve the quality of management information
- Build strong relationships across finance and the wider business, acting as a trusted partner to support commercial and operational decision-making
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights. Experience within a business partnering, FP&A, or financial analysis role would be highly advantageous.
Our client is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status or pregnancy and maternity.
