Rutherford Cross is pleased to partner with its PE-backed city-centre client to appoint an Interim Management Accountant for a 6-month FTC. The role is 2 days per week on-site, with the remainder working from home.

Management Reporting

• Produce accurate and timely accounting for assigned entities, in line with the relevant accounting policies
• Prepare and present monthly financial results, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow analysis
• Deliver variance analysis against budgets with commentary on key drivers of performance
• Provide support to department heads through effective business partnering
• Prepare accurate accruals, prepayments and other journal entries
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of reconciling items

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Prepare cash forecasting and tracking
• Assist in the preparation of short and longer-term budgeting and forecasting
• Regularly monitor performance against budgets and identify risks and opportunities

Financial Processes & Controls

• Support internal and external audit processes by providing required data and explanations
• Ensure HMRC reporting requirements and deadlines are met
• Provide additional general support and complete ad-hoc tasks as required by the Financial Controller/Finance Director
• Maintain key controls governing the processes

Systems and Data Management

• Seek ongoing process, procedure and controls improvement opportunities and reporting enhancements to meet and anticipate stakeholder needs
• Assist with the implementation of system changes, updates, and developments in line with business needs
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity across finance systems and spreadsheets
