Financial Controller

Rutherford Cross is delighted to support a Glasgow based growing investment group in the recruitment of a Financial Controller.

The company is seeking a commercially minded candidate to take ownership of the finance function across a small but growing investment group. This role suits an ambitious individual who wants to progress into a Finance Director / CFO position and grow long term with the firm.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity offering excellent career progression potential. The role provides a competitive base salary with bonus and is based in a central Glasgow office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all financial, management and regulatory reporting across the group
• Full ownership of accounting, finance and audit processes - hands-on as well as strategic
• Deliver monthly and quarterly management accounts and board reporting
• Manage annual audits and coordinate due diligence exercises as required
• Oversee regulatory reporting
• Work directly with the Investment Director, legal counsel and partners on corporate, fund and listed structures
• Contribute to financial planning, cash management and investment analysis

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CA) with strong technical competence
• Experience in both partnership (fund/LLP) and limited company accounting
• Prior exposure to listed-company reporting advantageous but not essential
• Entrepreneurial mindset - thrives on autonomy and responsibility within a lean team
• Comfortable operating across multiple entities and sectors
• Desire to develop into a senior finance leadership role as the business grows
