We are seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant (or a strong Assistant Management Accountant) for a 10-month fixed-term contract to support our finance team during a key period. This role offers an excellent blend of hands-on transactional work alongside opportunities to get involved in more technical accounting activities. The position is primarily based on-site at our client's offices near Glasgow City Centre, with flexibility for one day working from home per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end processes including preparation of management accounts
• Support balance sheet reconciliations, including payroll and VAT balance sheets
• Prepare and submit VAT returns (medium complexity)
• Perform transactional-level activities such as journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure accurate reporting
• Provide ad hoc support on technical accounting tasks as required

About You:

• Part-qualified, qualified by experience, or a strong Assistant Management Accountant ready to step up
• Confident in transactional finance tasks but able to handle mid-level technical activities
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation and VAT experience
• Experience with payroll balance sheet accounting
• Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Available immediately or at short notice
