Description

Rutherford Cross is working with a well established organisation based just outside Glasgow to recruit for an FP&A Reporting Manager. This role will work closely with the Sector FP&A team and the SLT in preparing the financial reporting deliverables, managing underlying governance procedures including; external and internal audits, risk reporting, preparation of technical accounting papers, legislative compliance and reviewing the implementation of accounting policies.

A summary of some of the key duties include:

  • Overall management and responsibility for the production of rolling re-forecast, budget, monthly, quarterly, 6-monthly and annual reporting requirements
  • Liaise closely with wider finance teams to complete all management reporting, financial analysis and any ad hoc reporting requests
  • Assure and maintain financial controls framework across the business unit, including ownership for coordination of governance returns to Sector & Group
  • Finance lead for coordination of risk reporting submissions, ensuring risk register outputs are reflected in controls improvement plan
  • Review implementation of accounting policies and relevant accounting standards, ensuring financial controls are in place, compliant with IFRS15, IFRS16 and IAS 19
  • Ensure that accounting judgements, including long term contract accounting judgements, are appropriately reviewed and documented

For this role, the business is seeking a fully qualified accountant with suitable post qualification experience in an FP&A focused role. Other experience required will include:

  • Knowledge of financial accounting, reporting and legal standards
  • Proven capability to positively influence multiple communities with the aim of ensuring focused delivery whilst preserving individuals and teams along the way
  • Expert in financial accounting, systems and processes with a proven track record of control assurance and enhancement
  • Extensive experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) and financial modelling including Power Query
  • Experience of ERP systems and finance consolidation tools (Preferably SAP)
  • Experience of working in large organisations with geographically spread stakeholders
