The Role
The Group Senior Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for Group Financial reporting and technical accounting, liaising with senior management, including the Group Financial Controller and the Chief Financial Officer, our shareholders and regional senior finance and operational leads.
- Oversee the monthly financial reporting, quarterly and annual reporting to our shareholders and subsidiary statutory accounts production processes ensuring accuracy and all disclosures are aligned to the requirements of accounting standards
- Responsible for accurate consolidation of a large, international and complex business
- Responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting to our shareholder and associated technical consolidation and analysis. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting data
- Co-ordination and management of the external audit process including management of group divisional finance resource input into audit process and liaison with senior internal and external stakeholders. Be a key point of contact for the senior members of the audit team to ensure efficient delivery of the external audit
- Manage and ensure accounting policies are relevant with the latest accounting standards and new accounting standards and refine or create policies where required
- Understand strong financial controls and processes and be able to improve these and ensure these are aligned to the Groups accounting policies and are adhered to
- Lead on areas of technical and complex accounting impacting the Group. Including monitoring and analysing changes in accounting standards and regulations, review their impact on the organisation, and communicate the implications to relevant stakeholders
- Provide leadership and responsibility for management, motivation and development of group accounting team
- Participate and provide technical accounting expertise and leadership in special projects and initiatives, including system implementations, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analysis, as needed
- Responsibility and oversight on technical accounting papers as appropriate
The Individual
- Experienced finance professional (minimum 10+ years) with strong technical accounting skills. Qualified accountant, Big 4 background. A background in IFRS and Group Reporting and consolidation in a large, complex international business
- Experience of leading, developing and managing team of experienced qualified accountants
- Ideally audit background including experience as audit lead on high profile engagements
- Results orientated, with a driven attitude to deliver controlled change and rapidly overcome obstacles
- Effective stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills to help deliver results and meet change objectives
- Experience and comfortable with technology and innovation to generate results, improve processes and drive innovation within their area of responsibility and oversight
- Strategic thinker and ability to look at the bigger picture with the ability to work with some uncertainty or to make calculation assumptions to make a recommendation
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and ability to communicate and work collaboratively and confidently at all levels across the Group, particularly with senior and executive management
