Rutherford Cross is working with a leading Scottish drinks business to appoint a Treasury Manager.

The specialist and business critical role of Treasury Manager is responsible for the development of treasury systems, the statutory and management reporting of treasury transactions and the management of all Treasury front office operational activities including execution of treasury deals. The role will also provide support to businesses on treasury matters and support and deputise for the Corporate Treasurer when necessary.

 

Responsibilities

Systems Related:

  • Manage day to day global treasury front office operations including treasury fx, cash and debt dealing
  • Responsible for the control, management and reporting of treasury operations and related risk management measures
  • Responsible for treasury systems, online dealing platform and Treasury Management System and confirmation matching systems, including the delivery of necessary training within the treasury function and wider business
  • Lead / support further development of treasury management system and related infrastructure
  • Promote and execute operational improvement initiatives and performance measures both at Group Treasury and in the treasury processes followed by the businesses

Reporting Related:

  • Deliver treasury statutory, management and ad hoc reporting, including monitoring hedge positions under IFRS 9 and provide accounting data for the finance function
  • Deliver interest, foreign exchange and other treasury related forecasts as and when required by the financial planning team
  • Be responsible for the development and provision of Treasury Operational KPIs and covenant compliance reports
  • Promote and execute operational improvement initiatives and performance measures both at Group Treasury and in the treasury processes in the businesses

Other:

  • Support and deputise for the Corporate Treasurer as required, including in the provision of business treasury support
  • Support the preparation of Board and Treasury Committee papers; and treasury and funding plans
  • Liaise with other central functions, such as tax and legal on treasury matters generally
  • Support the Corporate Treasurer in the management of business critical bank / credit relationships and the arrangement and negotiation of debt facilities

People Leader:

  • Motivate, support and stretch direct reports through regular 1:1s to discuss performance and development, formally and informally managing employee performance
  • Ensure alignment and delivery of work with regular team meetings to discuss performance and priorities
  • Facilitate employee career development through continuous career conversations and ongoing coaching, leading annual talent and succession processes for direct report
  • Ensure pay for performance culture is fully utilised through rewarding high performance and communicating reward philosophy to team members so that they understand grading, financial and non-financial compensation. Manages formal processes, as required, with HR support
