Our client is looking to add a Commercial Finance Analyst to their team into a newly created position with excellent support from market-leading accountants to provide training and support as you make this role your own.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform financial evaluations of business projects or initiatives beforehand, help develop business cases, and evaluate and mitigate against risk
• Perform post-evaluation analysis on projects to ensure performance is widely understood with key lessons fed back to the business for future projects
• Provide input to the budgeting and forecasting process. Work with FP&A and the wider business to introduce a straightforward monthly rolling forecast process
• Work with each team to design and introduce KPI dashboard reporting
• Attend all functional meetings of the teams supported, feeling as much a sense of ownership and part of the team as with finance

Individual Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACA, CIMA, or Masters in Finance), Part Qualified or Newly Qualified
• Experience working with Excel & PowerPoint at an advanced level
• Experience with analytical database tools, such as Power BI. Comfortable manipulating complex data
• Strong communication skills, oral & written. Adept at communicating in a succinct and straightforward way to non-finance people
• Commercial acumen. The ability to analyse complex data sets, identify the key messages, and communicate the output
• Driven with the desire to build a commercial career in finance
