Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnered with a drinks manufacturing business to appoint the newly created position of Financial Accountant. Reporting to a high calibre and aspirant senior finance leadership team, the successful candidate will sit as the right-hand man to the Financial Controller.

My client is going through a period of significant change with major capital investment projects, system changes and team restructuring all on the horizon for 2023 and beyond. Therefore this role offers a breadth of exposure that wouldn’t normally be seen for a position at this level.

Ideally we are looking for newly/recently qualified individuals with a couple of years post-qualification experience either in industry or practice. However, we are also happy to consider newly-qualified individuals provided you have the interpersonal skills, alongside a get up and go and commercial acumen to succeed in a varied and busy role.

Key Accountabilities include:

• Assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts and other group reporting requirements
• Assist and provide cover for AR/AP, payroll, and other BAU finance activities when required
• Prepare information for the annual statutory accounts
• Prepare information for and liaising with statutory auditors
• Assist in the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasting
• Assist with the tracking and management of spend on a large capital project
• Assist in the rollout of a new ERP (SAP) through 2023
• Identify opportunities for improvement across the businesses, and implementation thereof
• Involvement in any and all other aspects of the finance function as required
