The opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join our client’s Finance Team. It is a temp role working with a fantastic organisation in Edinburgh. Interviews on 16-17 July to start immediately thereafter.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Review budgeted and actual salary allocations for 2019 and correct allocations as required
• Review and update spreadsheets to prepare forecasted salaries for the remainder of 2019
• Review and update fixed asset and depreciation spreadsheets to ensure they are accurate and agree to GL
• Preparation of 2020 budget spreadsheets and send out to budget holders
• Consolidate the 2020 budget returns from budget holders into first draft of budget
• Update Management accounts template for new structure
• Help with preparation of July and August Management information packs
• Review information required for year end notes and identify how to extract this information for the GL system
• Review policies and procedures and update as required
• Set up approach to allocate staff costs across departments
• Update 3 year model
• Review and improve efficiencies spreadsheet
• Document IFRS 15/16 procedure

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Accountant
• Excellent Excel skills
• Excellent operational accounting knowledge with experience of working with budgets and budget holders, and preparing management information
• Experience of fixed assets and depreciation essential and experience of IFRS 15/16 would be an advantage
• Strong written skills in documenting processes and procedures.
