Charles Langan is Chief Financial Officer of ScottishPower, one of the UK’s leading integrated energy companies and part of the Iberdrola Group, the second largest utility in the world. As a member of the executive leadership team, he is helping to support the delivery of ScottishPower’s ambitious growth strategy and unprecedented ÂŁ24bn investment programme, which is focused on expanding and modernising the UK’s electricity networks, accelerating renewable energy deployment and enabling the transition to a cleaner, more secure energy system.
Charles graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a degree in Accountancy and Finance and trained as a chartered accountant at EY. During his 20 years with ScottishPower and Iberdrola, he has held a variety of senior finance leadership positions in both the UK and Spain, including serving as Head of Fixed Income Investor Relations for the Iberdrola Group and as ScottishPower’s Procurement Director.
At this networking event, Charles will share his own journey to CFO as well as insight into holding a leadership role in one of Scotland’s most prominent businesses. The session will also include time for a Q&A from the audience and plenty of opportunity for networking before and after.
