Hazel Wynn

Hazel is the Managing Director of Rutherford Cross. With over 18 years experience in finance recruitment, she has partnered with many of Scotland’s leading businesses across a wide range of sectors, managing qualified and senior-level finance appointments on both a permanent and interim basis. Alongside leading the Rutherford Cross business, Hazel specialises in senior finance mandates, including Finance Director, Head of FP&A and Financial Controller appointments across Scotland.

Before joining Rutherford Cross, Hazel spent more than eight years with a FTSE 200 multinational recruitment firm, progressing to Senior Manager level. Since joining Rutherford Cross over a decade ago, she has played a key role in growing the interim and contract offering before moving into the permanent market, where she helped develop the firm’s senior finance practice. Hazel was appointed Director in 2022 and became Managing Director in 2026.

Hazel leads our Next Generation CFO and Women in Finance Leadership Forum events and is passionate about building communities that connect and support finance leaders. Outside of work, Hazel enjoys being a mum, spending time with family, and making the most of any opportunity to play sport.
