Rutherford Cross is delighted to be retained by Erskine Veterans Charity to appoint its Head of Finance.
Erskine Veterans Charity (‘Erskine’) provides unrivalled support to Veterans in Scotland, with two specialist care homes, two Activity Centres, a regional Home Support service, and a Veterans Village comprising 44 cottages, five Assisted Living Apartments and 23 Transitional Supported Apartments.
For Veterans who need help to begin the next chapter of their lives, Erskine offers social, recreation and training facilities at its Activity Centres, single and family accommodation and employment opportunities in partnership with Scotland Bravest Manufacturing Company.

The Head of Finance will report to the Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief Executive. This role is being introduced to strengthen and support the existing finance function, building on the strong foundations already in place. The Head of Finance is a key member of the Senior Management Team, with a primary purpose of providing financial stewardship, effectiveness and efficiency in finance operations.
This post will play a critical role in supporting the continued development of the Charity’s finance function and is key to the organisation achieving growth and development of services, whilst effectively safeguarding its assets and maintaining a sustainable financial future. The role requires a collaborative and pragmatic leadership style, with a focus on supporting people, building trust, and delivering sustainable improvements over time.
