Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnered with Reward Funding to appoint a Client Services Manager, supporting the business through its next phase of growth in the Scottish market.
Founded in 2010, Reward Funding was established to provide a flexible alternative to traditional bank lending, delivering fast, pragmatic and asset‑secured funding solutions to ambitious SME and property‑backed businesses. To date, Reward has supported more than 2,000 clients and provided over £1.45bn of funding across Property Finance, Business Finance and Asset Finance, operating from multiple UK offices with a strong regional presence.
Scotland is a strategically important growth region for Reward Funding, with a current loan book of approximately £40m across a broad SME client base and clear ambition to grow this significantly over the coming years. Facilities typically operate on an evergreen, overdraft‑style basis, with clients actively drawing, repaying and re-drawing funds – creating a fast‑moving, relationship‑led portfolio focused on long‑term partnerships rather than one‑off transactions.
As portfolio size and complexity continue to increase, Reward Funding is seeking to appoint a Client Services Manager into a newly created role, providing clear senior ownership of the in‑life client experience across Scotland. Acting as the primary point of contact post‑completion, the role will have end‑to‑end responsibility for portfolio management, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day servicing, strong credit stewardship and high standards of client delivery.
Reporting to the Regional Director for Scotland and sitting within the Operations team, the Client Services Manager will manage an active portfolio of secured lending clients. Responsibilities include overseeing cash movements, monitoring risk, completing annual and ad hoc reviews, managing documentation and compliance requirements, and identifying opportunities for repeat lending within the existing portfolio.
The role is hands‑on, varied and detail‑driven, playing a critical part in protecting asset quality, supporting client satisfaction and driving long‑term portfolio performance. It also enables Directors to focus on origination and strategic growth by ensuring the Scottish loan book is actively and rigorously managed.
This is an outward‑facing, relationship‑led position involving regular client interaction, close collaboration with internal credit and operations teams, and engagement across Reward Funding’s wider UK business. Flexible and hybrid working is supported.
We are seeking an experienced credit, portfolio or relationship management professional with a solid understanding of secured lending and the UK SME market. The successful individual will bring strong attention to detail, sound commercial judgement and the ability to manage risk pragmatically in a fluid, fast‑paced environment. Experience in property‑backed lending or alternative finance would be highly advantageous.
In return, Reward Funding offers a competitive remuneration package, discretionary bonus, flexible working and the opportunity to play a meaningful role in one of its most important and high‑growth regions, with clear scope for progression as the business continues to scale.
