Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnered with its FMCG client to appoint a Payroll Lead for a 2-year contract.
Payroll Accountabilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of the target operating model for all payroll processes
  • Define the long‑term vision for the tools, systems and applications required to enable the future payroll operating model
  • Establish a clear payroll process taxonomy and ensure full alignment with the William Grant Way
  • Use insights from the Activity Analysis to determine baseline costs for all payroll activities
  • Shape the workstream objectives and the initiatives needed to achieve them, creating detailed plans for delivery and execution
  • Identify interdependencies, risks and issues associated with future delivery plans, ensuring these are effectively mitigated or resolved
  • Determine the resource and budget requirements needed to deliver the workstream roadmap and mobilise the appropriate team
  • Serve as the payroll Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the IFS NMC rollout programme, ensuring standardised processes, controls and ways of working are embedded across each deployment
  • Develop the multi‑year roadmap for the payroll workstream, ensuring each project has the necessary approvals and follows the organisation’s standard project methodology. Likely projects include implementing a single global payroll platform, UK payrolling of benefits, and rationalising UK pay groups
  • Create standardised payroll KPIs and ensure consistent measurement across all operational sites
  • Continuously monitor opportunities for improvement across the end‑to‑end standardised payroll processes
  • Ensure all projects are supported with appropriate change management and communication plans
