Description
Rutherford Cross is delighted to be exclusively partnered with its property client to appoint a Part-time Finance Manager for a period of up to 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Control:
- Prepare accurate and timely quarterly management accounts, including analysis and commentary
- Oversee the production of annual financial statements in line with statutory requirements
- Ensure strong financial controls and processes across the business
- Maintain the integrity of financial data and accounting records
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
- Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis
- Support cash-flow planning and financial modelling as required
Year-End & External Liaison:
- Act as the primary point of contact for external accountants
- Liaise with company accountants to ensure a smooth and efficient year-end process
- Prepare and coordinate all information required for audit and statutory filings
Finance Function Leadership:
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the finance function
- Review and improve finance systems, processes, and controls as the business grows
- Provide guidance and oversight to transactional finance staff
Strategic Planning & Business Support:
- Support Directors with strategic planning, financial analysis, and decision-making
- Provide insight into investment performance, asset management activities, and growth initiatives
- Contribute to long-term financial strategy and business planning
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including management and statutory accounts
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and operate in a hands-on role
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with Directors and external advisors
