Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be exclusively partnered with its property client to appoint a Part-time Finance Manager for a period of up to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Control:

  • Prepare accurate and timely quarterly management accounts, including analysis and commentary
  • Oversee the production of annual financial statements in line with statutory requirements
  • Ensure strong financial controls and processes across the business
  • Maintain the integrity of financial data and accounting records

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
  • Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis
  • Support cash-flow planning and financial modelling as required

Year-End & External Liaison:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external accountants
  • Liaise with company accountants to ensure a smooth and efficient year-end process
  • Prepare and coordinate all information required for audit and statutory filings

Finance Function Leadership:

  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the finance function
  • Review and improve finance systems, processes, and controls as the business grows
  • Provide guidance and oversight to transactional finance staff

Strategic Planning & Business Support:

  • Support Directors with strategic planning, financial analysis, and decision-making
  • Provide insight into investment performance, asset management activities, and growth initiatives
  • Contribute to long-term financial strategy and business planning

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including management and statutory accounts
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and operate in a hands-on role
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with Directors and external advisors
