Description
A well-established Scottish charity is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join its finance team. Celebrating its 200th anniversary, the organisation supports individuals affected by homelessness, poverty, addiction and family breakdowns. This role plays a key part in enabling the charity to deliver its mission by providing strategic financial insight and partnering with programme teams to improve performance and outcomes.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Finance and work closely with senior managers and budget holders, helping them understand financial performance, risks and opportunities, while supporting continuous improvement across financial systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with programme managers to provide financial analysis and performance insights
- Collaborate with budget holders to develop and manage budgets, monitor spend and support decision-making
- Deliver monthly financial reporting and commentary
- Support financial planning, forecasting and modelling for new and existing programmes
- Contribute to tendering and procurement processes
- Develop and improve financial systems and processes across the organisation
- Ensure finance metrics support programme and organisational development
- Assist the finance team with reporting, systems improvements and metric development
- Provide financial guidance on business growth and strategic development
- Support the annual budget and quarterly forecasting cycles
- Commit to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
Essential Experience:
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA)
- Strong understanding of finance function processes and budget reporting
- Experience producing management accounts and financial reports
- Proven ability to analyse data for strategic and operational decision-making
- Experience developing service delivery plans and strategies

Additional Information:
- Core working hours: Monday to Friday, flexible between 8am–6pm (core hours 10am–4pm)
- Office base: Govan, Glasgow (6-minute walk from Subway)
- Annual leave: 6 weeks rising to 8 weeks (pro rata), including public holidays
- Pension: Automatic enrolment into People’s Pension after 3 months
