Interim Management Accountant job with a Glasgow based Public Sector organisation for an initial 9-month period.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly management accounts including full commentary, balance sheet and cashflow
• Investigating variances within monthly Management Accounts and liaison with Budget Holders to obtain explanations where necessary
• Assisting in the planning and preparation of the annual budget through liaison with departments
• Creating and processing journals in the ERP system
• Supporting budget managers in specific management accounting tasks including the producing business cases and where necessary supporting the preparation of bid documentation for project funds
• Assisting in the preparation of the statutory accounts
• Maintaining and developing the Finance coding structure in an ERP environment
• Ad hoc duties as required

The Individual:

• Qualified, Part Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’
• Demonstrable experience in a similar Management Accounting role
• Knowledge of financial IT systems
• Good commercial judgement, problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
