Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a PE-backed business to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or QBE accountant to develop their skill set and add value to a growing business. The Assistant Management Accountant will analyse financial data to provide insights that support business profitability and growth.
Ideally, this role would suit a part-qualified / QBE accountant with a proven track record in sales margin analysis, variance analysis on forecast vs budget and communicating financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct sales and margin analysis, identifying variances from forecasts and addressing live issues
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and inventory review / control
- Support the creation of the annual budget and updates to forecasts
- Partner with Regional Directors, providing timely and relevant financial insights
- Forecast supplier and customer rebates, and calculate standards for manufacturing cost recoveries
- Produce analysis packs on the performance of business units, regions, and branches
- Submit monthly results and rolling forecasts to Group FP&A
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in management accounting or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial data analysis
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Navision, SAP) and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to a rapidly changing environment
