Interim Finance Manager

Interim Finance Manager opportunity with our East Lothian based client. This role will be for an initial 3–6-month period.

Reporting directly to the CEO and FD, the key responsibilities are:

• Support in the development of new business ideas and preparation of robust business models
• Contribute to business and strategy improvement as part of the Senior Leadership Team
• Maintain efficient and effective financial models
• Ensure controls are in place for monitoring cost
• Liaise with auditors and provide any required information
• Ensure meaningful and challenging targets/budgets are in place within an appropriate timescale
• Ensure all reports are accurate and ready in time to meet their relevant monthly, quarterly or annual target
• Collate and interpret information from across the business
• Produce monthly management accounts (profit and loss, cash flow and balance sheets), with variance analysis, performance graphs and any management information required
• Periodic and annual budgeting, together with cash flow forecasts
• Ad hoc support to the wider business in line with company needs

To apply, you will be a Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’ accountant with people management experience. You will be comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels of the business. You will have good written and verbal communication and be an advanced user of excel. This role will begin in August and will be hybrid working (3 days in / 2 days out).
