Rutherford Cross is working with a well established global business based in central Glasgow to recruit for the role of Finance Manager. This role sits within the Treasury and Banking Team of a large Finance Function and will have a focus on the smooth running of the treasury and banking function, together with cash flow forecasting and reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and regulatory reporting.
A summary of some of the key accountabilities are below:
- Manage the administration of c500 bank accounts including opening, closing, access changes and mandate changes
- Mange the bank posting and reconciliation process
- Effective management of critical payments made outwith the AP process, ensuring these are completed timeously and accurately
- Prepare monthly cash flow and regulatory information for inclusion in the board packs
- Prepare US cash reporting information on a fortnightly basis
- Drive forward change to ensure that the department and team members improve and processes become streamlines
- Motivate and lead team members
- Ensure SoX requirements are fully met
- Work with other finance teams where appropriate to improve the overall performance of the Finance team
- Work on own initiative to ensure the treasury and banking team is performing as expected and all tasks have been done to a good standard

- Take all reasonable steps to ensure the part of the business for which you are accountable for demonstrably complies with applicable laws, rules, regulation, good governance and the company values
For this role the company are seeking a fully qualified accountant with appropriate post qualification experience. Prior experience of managing/training others would be beneficial as the role will include responsibility for a small team. Exposure to US GAAP and Sox experience would be preferred as well as having a background in managing projects and/or implementing new processes and controls. A good technical understanding along with good exposure to balance sheet reconciliations would also be key.
