Tax Advisory Assistant Manager / Manager – Financial Services, Edinburgh
Edinburgh City Centre
Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager in this high performing in-house tax team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive tax advisory service to the existing UK and overseas funds and for providing support on the set-up of new funds.
The role will provide exposure to a variety of asset classes and jurisdictions and a broad range of related corporate, and other, tax issues. The individual should be comfortable with developing a high level understanding of a range of UK and non-UK taxes that may impact funds operating in various jurisdictions and the associated impact on investors.
The successful candidate will work with a variety of other business areas and will be required both to provide tax advice in a user-friendly form and to develop an understanding of the commercial, and other non-tax, considerations relevant to SLI’s products.
This is an excellent role which will enable the individual to work with a number of teams across SLI and to make a direct contribution to the growth of SLI’s business.
You will be a qualified accountant / CTA with experience of corporate and/or international tax advisory issues. Exposure to investment management tax issues an advantage but not essential. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential as is the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of seniority across the organisation.
