Duties will include:

• Support, guide and provide financial expertise to a range of services to ensure issues are dealt with effectively and in accordance with policy and procedure.
• To be the first contact point for all management accounting matters or queries from services and Local Offices
• Managing budgetary cycle for the charity's services in conjunction with operational management building up to the annual budget to ensure appropriate spending of funds
• Ensuring that budget monitoring, checking and investigation of any significant budget deviation is carried out
• Undertaking monthly meetings with budget managers to review financial reports, recording explanations and/or variations
• Preparing service budgets / forecasts / projections / costings in conjunction with budget managers and take or recommend appropriate action
• Conducting internal financial reviews/audits to ensure  policies and procedures are adhered to
• Preparation of costings for new work   with operational management to ensure the financial viability of services
• Overseeing monthly finance reviews with operational management and report to senior management with recommendations on the outcomes, including risks and opportunities
• Review financial returns from services to ensure the quality and integrity of data returned to the Finance Department

On offer:

• Salary £35-£40k
• 35 hour working week (9-5)
• Pension: employee 4%/employer 7%
• Holidays 28 plus 4 statutory days increasing to 33+4 after 5 years
• Death in service *1 salary
