Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working in partnership with a fast-growing business, based in Glasgow city centre to appoint an Accounts Payable Manager.   This is a newly created role within the Glasgow finance team, which requires the successful candidate to set up new processes. The post-holder will be responsible for leading the accounts payable team through a period of change, ensuring compliance with new company policies and the implementation of a new ERP system.

Typical Duties

  • Manage the purchase ledger for four legal entities within the group
  • Line management of accounts payable staff
  • Process invoices in line with no PO, no pay policy, and performing three-way matching process
  • Oversee payment runs, ensuring suppliers are paid within agreed payment terms
  • Review aged balances and manage query resolution
  • Liaise with other group companies to ensure intercompany balances are reconciled and settled on a regular basis
  • Ensure supplier statement reconciliations are performed on a regular basis
  • Ensure employee expense claims are compliant with internal policy, and paid in a timely manner
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Act as accounts payable lead in the upcoming implementation of new ERP system, and provide training and guidance to staff where necessary

On offer:

Salary: £28,000-£33,000

Pension: Matched between 3-5%

Annual leave: 25 days plus 7
