Description
Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a central Glasgow based organisation within the not for profit sector who are looking to add a Finance Manager to their team for a period of 12 months. Working for a company who are very customer service driven, your role as Finance Manager will be focused around decision support, management and project reporting, preparation of budgets and forecasts, financial controls, external statutory reporting and compliance. Some more detail around some of the main duties is below:
- Preparing monthly management reports with commentary and analysis
- Preparing budgets and forecasts
- Building relationships with budget holders through regular meetings to discuss financial performance
- Provision of completed reporting packs for Board submission
- Ensure robust financial controls in place and adhered to
- Prepare year end stat accounts for group entities
- Working with auditors and tax advisors to provide any necessary supporting information
- Reviewing VAT submissions for HMRC purposes
- Managing a team, providing coaching and mentoring
- Other ad hoc duties
For this role it is essential you are a fully qualified accountant – CA/ACCA/CIMA with a strong technical background and recent experience of management reporting in a large and complex organisation. Ability to lead a team and also communicate effectively throughout an organisation will be very important as there will be regular business partnering involved.
