Interim Regional Management Accountant job with our client based in Edinburgh for 6-month fixed term period. Reporting to the Regional Finance Director. You will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly management accounts including journal posting, variance analysis and associated commentary
• Reviewing of reports by financial teams including, weekly cash reports, supplier payment runs and month end reconciliation
• Ensure controls are in place for balance sheets and a monthly control file is maintained
• Ensure compliance with regulations including VAT and relevant accounting standards
• Completion of half year/ year end reporting packs for Group Finance
• Providing ad- hoc reporting as required
• Implementation of ‘best in practice’ financial processes and procedures appropriate to the needs of the business, delivering a continuous improvement approach
• Providing business support to ensure commercial awareness is promoted and maintained across the company
• Support Finance Director, and work with wider business, to deliver timely and accurate budgets/forecasts, profit projections and short-term cash reports

To apply you will be a Qualified Accountant with a broad skillset across both management and financial accounting. You will understand key commercial business drivers providing ongoing support to the Finance Director. You will also be flexible and able to work on a variety of ad hoc projects. Start: early February 2022. Salary: £45,000- £55,0000 p.a. depending on experience plus retention bonus.
