Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a Glasgow based business who are performing very well in their market and have exciting future growth plans, to recruit for the role of Credit Risk Manager. This role will be focused on developing and implementing policies and procedures that reduce the credit risk to the company. This role will suit someone who is willing to challenge a situation, can easily build relationships with others and has prior experience in assessing credit risk for a business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Establishing and monitoring policies and procedures to help the company meet its risk management targets
• Monitoring and evaluating active accounts to prevent bad debt losses or reduce them
• Creating a financial model that predicts credit risk to the company
• Ensuring credit policy is regularly reviewed in line with feedback from insurance and credit checking and in line with the current economy
• Providing statistic and reporting to confirm the Credit Policy is in line with the current economy
• Review credit limits and excesses
• Responsibility for ranking customers based on risk factors identified
• Contacting High Risk customers and agreeing an action plan to reduce the risk
• Preparation of monthly performance and risk reports
• Completing tasks accurately within set deadlines
