Rutherford Cross Retained by Walker’s Shortbread to Appoint Finance Operations Manager and a Cost & Inventory Accountant

We are thrilled to be partnering with one of Scotland’s most iconic FMCG brands, Walker’s Shortbread, to recruit for two key senior finance positions: Finance Operations Manager and Cost & Inventory Accountant. Both roles report to Financial Controller Robert Scott, and present outstanding opportunities to join one of Scotland’s most cherished brands. These are influential roles where you will help shape the future of the finance function within a dynamic and growing business.

Both positions are based on-site at the Walker’s Head Office in Aberlour, and we are keen to hear from both locally based candidates and finance professionals across Scotland who may be open to relocation. Relocation packages are available for the right candidates.

Founded in 1898, when Joseph Walker fired up the ovens of the family bakery with a simple aim to bake ‘the world’s finest shortbread’, Walker’s Shortbread has grown to become a globally recognised brand. Still family-owned, and now into its fifth generation, the company operates across six production facilities in the beautiful Speyside region of northeast Scotland, with headquarters at the historic Aberlour House.

Over the last 30 years, Walker’s has experienced significant growth, and these newly created roles are a direct result of that evolution. Despite continued expansion, Walker’s remains true to its core values: putting people at the heart of the business. The company takes pride in being a reliable local employer and continues to promote inclusive employment practices. Walker’s is committed to Equal Opportunities, and is a Disability Confident and Young Person’s Guarantee employer.
