On Thursday 25th of April, Consultants Christina McLean and Gillian O’Neil hosted the latest get-together of their ‘Ladies in Finance’ networking event series, this time in collaboration with global fashion brand, Reiss. Christina and Gillian reflect on the event below and their reasons for choosing to collaborate with a well-known brand, whilst also running a raffle prize draw for one of Livingston James Group’s chosen charities for 2024: The Outward Bound Trust.
‘Rutherford Cross x Reiss – Exclusive Lock-in’ marked the first event of the series where we collaborated with another brand to host the occasion. The purpose of this event series is to bring established female finance professionals together in a relaxed setting to network with like-minded individuals, and on this occasion, treat themselves to some new capsule wardrobe purchases as well.
On the evening, we filled the Reiss store in Glasgow’s Princes Square with around 25 guests; some of whom attend our events regularly, whereas others were joining us for the first time. It was fulfilling for us to see the room filled with high-calibre and aspirant females.
The evening involved drinks, canapés and relaxed networking as well as a personal styling session and a charity raffle prize draw.
Why Reiss?
We partnered with Reiss due to their long-standing reputation as a reliable destination for classic tailoring, offering attainable, luxury collections that many working professionals can relate to. On the night, Reiss was kind enough to provide an exclusive personal styling session for our guests with a focus on workwear and interview attire, incorporating styles from their new SS24 collection.
Each guest was presented with a generous 10% discount to be used in-store or online that evening, and Reiss also donated a stunning handbag to the raffle!
The Outward Bound Trust
Our chosen charity partner for the event was The Outward Bound Trust. Their core mission is to inspire young people to realise their potential through learning and adventure in the outdoors. As part of a continued fundraising partnership this year, all raffle proceeds from this event were donated to the Trust to help reach our ultimate fundraising goal of £15,000 which will be tackled through an adventurous outdoor ‘Corporate Challenge’ later in the year.
