Description

Rutherford Cross is working with a well-respected public sector organisation to recruit a Treasury & Commercial Accounting Manager based in Glasgow with locations throughout the UK and Singapore. This role offers the opportunity to gain great exposure and has excellent progression pathways within the organisation. On offer is a salary of up to £45-50k (dependent on experience), with hybrid working and an exceptional holiday allowance and pension package.

This is a newly created role which reflects the expansion and growing complexity of the business. The post holder will be responsible for supporting and developing financial analysis, business support advice and reporting on potential new commercial opportunities for the business. They’ll also have responsibility for the day-to-day management and development of Treasury activities, including operational banking activity, investment activity and associated policies.

This role would be suited to a qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) seeking to further progress their career. Ideally, we are looking to speak to individuals with experience of working in corporate finance with strong leadership skills.

Some of the key duties include:

  • Advising on commercial opportunities
  • Conducting thorough and appropriate due diligence on the financials of upcoming investment opportunities for the Group
  • Building and developing relationships with key stakeholders
  • Providing detailed financial analysis
  • Managing the banking function
  • Managing the treasury team
  • Ensuring all bank account reconciliation are completed by the team in a timely manner
  • Managing a range a professional advisors, including asset fund managers and other investment advisors
  • Managing the Group’s financial covenants
  • Being responsible for the Group’s treasury related policies

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Professionally qualified (CA/ACCA.CIMA or equivalent)
  • Ordinary/Honours Degree (SCQF Level 9, 10 or 11) or equivalent
  • Experience of working in corporate finance
  • Experience of providing expert advice and guidance to and influencing senior managers
  • Experience of building strong, effective and credible working relationships with senior leaders
  • Experience of managing and developing a team
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
