Description

Rutherford Cross is working in partnership with a Big 4 firm in Luxembourg to assist them in the recruitment of a Transfer Pricing Senior Consultant for their ever expanding team.

Luxembourg lies in the heart of Europe surrounded by Belgium, Germany and France. It is a highly developed country with an advanced economy and the world’s second highest GDP per capita after Qatar. Luxembourg’s stable and high-income market economy features moderate growth, low inflation, and a high level of innovation and therefore ranking 4th in the Economist Intelligence Unit’s quality of life index. As Luxembourg is a tax haven the Financial Services industries, particularly banking and finance, account for the majority of economic output. In 2013, Luxembourg was ranked the 2nd safest tax haven in the world behind Switzerland. Luxembourg is the world's second largest investment fund centre after the United States, the most important private banking centre in the Eurozone and Europe's leading centre for reinsurance companies. Moreover, the Luxembourg government has aimed to attract internet start-ups, with Skype and Amazon being two of the many internet companies that have shifted their regional headquarters to Luxembourg. It also has especially close trade and financial ties to Belgium and the Netherlands, and as a member of the EU it enjoys the advantages of the open European market.

As a location to live in, Luxembourg has many things to offer. There are several notable museums, more Michelin Stars per capita than any city in the world and Luxembourg was the first city to be named European Capital of Culture twice. The scenery witnessed around Luxembourg ranges from the highlands and valleys in the northern Ardennes, which provides endless snow sports possibilities, to the ancient forested landscape to the east. The picturesque town of Viaden is a popular tourist attraction and lies just a short trip north of Luxembourg City and in the southeast lies the Moselle Valley with its steep vineyards and riverside hamlets. In between all this are rolling farmlands dotted with pristine, pastel-toned houses and medieval hilltop castle. In addition the travel possibilities around Europe are endless making this a highly desirable location to live.

The role is an excellent opportunity to break in to the highly sought after Luxembourg market. The role will involve performing benchmarking, drafting Transfer Pricing reports and APA’s to Private Equity and Real Estate Funds and International Groups. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years’ transfer pricing experience working in a Big 4 firm ideally within the European market due to the volume of cross border transactions in and around Europe. Fluency in English is essential and some competency in French would be advantageous but not essential. If you would like to apply, please submit your CV along with your reasons for being interested in relocating to Luxembourg.
