Description

Temporary Finance Assistant job with our ‘blue chip’ client in Glasgow for an initial period of 3-6 months. You will be reporting to the Financial Controller and be responsible for:

  • Day to day management of the Purchase Order Processing system
  • Raising of accurate purchase orders
  • Responding to supplier queries
  • Matching of invoices
  • Resolution of queries
  • Preparation of exception management reports
  • Processing of intercompany invoices
  • The weekly payment run
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Posting of GRN accruals
  • Updating exchange rates to the general ledger
  • Monthly reconciliations for expenses
  • Weekly bank reconciliations for bank accounts
  • Support during the month end close through processing journals and preparing schedules

It is essential that you have previous hands on experience of the purchase to pay cycle, ideally through working in a Purchase Ledger Management role previously. You will be a strong Excel user. To apply you will ideally be immediately available as the role is due to interview this week and start on Monday 24th November.
