Rutherford Cross is working in partnership with a market leading Big 4 firm in the Isle of Man to assist them hire a UK Tax Senior for their team.

The Isle of Man is a self-governing British Crown Dependency, located in the Irish Sea between the island of Great Britain and Ireland, within the British Isles. The capital is Douglas and the Isle boasts a population of circa 80,000 people. The Isle of Man is a low-tax economy with no capital gains tax, stamp duty or inheritance tax and the top rate of income tax is only 20%. The rate of corporate tax is 0% for almost all types of income, the only exceptions are that are that the profits of banks are taxed at 10%, which makes this an extremely interesting location for many sectors of companies to invest in. Offshore banking, manufacturing and tourism form key sectors of the economy. In terms of sports, the Isle of Man is represented as a nation in the Commonwealth Games and the Island Games and has hosted the IV Commonwealth Youth Games in 2011. The TT is now an international road racing event for motorcycles, which used to be part of the World Championship, and is long considered to be one of the “greatest motorcycle sporting events of the world”.

Due to the low taxation rates and widely known as a tax haven, Isle of Man is an attractive place for investment, in particular offshore banking. This opportunity is for a UK Tax Senior who has experience working within UK Corporate Tax and additional experience working within the Private Client sector is also desirable. As a highly respected financial hub, this opportunity will give you the highly sought after UK offshore experience which will further your career greatly, in addition to providing you with great financial rewards by living in a tax haven. The work involved will cross over with the UK market therefore continuing to drive your career forwards within this area. The ideal amount of experience would be 2-3 years’ experience and ideally ACA / ACCA qualified.
