The Opportunity

Our client is a globally recognised firm, who can proudly trace their UK roots back to the 19th Century, through founding firms operating in Liverpool and London from 1988 right the way through to present day.

 With seven Partners and some 125 staff across the two offices, the Liverpool and Chester practice makes up a significant part of the firm’s thriving North West regional business in the UK. The regional tax practice boasts a high quality and varied client base and amongst the senior leadership team there are several senior personnel (Partners and Consultants) who are also national specialists in their field.

 With succession planning and growth opportunities in mind there is a strong desire to strategically recruit a Tax Partner in Liverpool to compliment the existing leadership team.

This would be an ideal opportunity for someone looking to return to Merseyside following an early career in another regional City. Full relocation will be provided if necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

The need is for a market facing “rain maker” who can help further grow market share and provide local leadership to the Tax service line.

 Potential candidates will be technically competent, experienced in corporate tax and show the ability to lead and grow what is already a well-respected and established team.

Key experience, skills and qualities required:

• Existing Partner/Director with a reputable firm (likely to be Top 10 or Large Independent)
• Demonstrable track record of success with regular, timely career progression
• Technically competent, ensuring credibility in the local market
• Strategic seller with appropriate gravitas and professionalism to influence at board level
• Track record and clear ability to develop business relationships and win new clients
• Appropriate experience level to be able to help lead RSM well into the future
• Ambitious and driven, looking for opportunity to take the lead
