Rutherford Cross is working with a global business, based in Glasgow city centre, seeking to recruit a Systems Accountant.  The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial accounting as well as in-depth knowledge of database structures.  The role is well suited to an individual who has worked for large blue-chip organisations, able to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders, managing projects from inception to delivery.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

• Perform detailed analysis of database tables to understand and reconcile transactions converted between different systems
• Drive the development of finance systems and processes, implementing new functionality
• Run test programmes in reaction to specific systems projects
• Work closely with 3rd party and internal suppliers to deliver solutions
• Producing high level solutions, requiring systems analysis
• Develop and model new processes and procedures

Successful candidates will possess:

• The ability to liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levels
• A pro-active approach in the development of new processes and procedures
• Experience of working within a structured project framework
• A tactful and diplomatic approach in pressured situations
