Rutherford Cross has been engaged by a dynamic, forward thinking, AIM listed company looking to add head count into their internal audit team. Reporting directly to the Head of Audit and Risk you will take responsibility for delivering a number of reviews and projects across the business. This organisation is head quartered in Glasgow and does not require any travel.

The Role

Exciting opportunity to move into industry from practice or continue your career within an internal audit in a growing organisation. The audit and risk team is developing at present, as a result you will need to be willing to get involved in a variety of different projects throughout the business and will have an appetite for continued learning and development. You will gain exposure to operational, financial and compliance reviews as well as project assurance and ad hoc investigations. You will lead audits from inception to completion and will support the head of audit in the audit and risk committee meetings by presenting your findings and recommendations to the committee.

Experience in external audit or internal audit work is essential and preferably you will maintain one of the following qualifications: IIA/ACCA/CA/ACA/CIA or equivalent.  You should have a good understanding surrounding the principles of audit and will be passionate about business and process improvement.

Due to the level of stakeholder engagement you will need to demonstrate your ability to communicate effectively and influence others
