Description

Rutherford Cross is handling a really exciting opportunity for a Senior FP&A Accountant to join a growing finance team in Glasgow. This is a key role that forms part of a newly formed team within an already well-established Finance Function.

In this role, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the forecast & budgeting process, leading in many aspects. You will also provide analysis, presentations and insightful commentary on forecasts and budgets to senior stakeholders including the CFO, Executive team, Finance Directors and Operation directors.

A summary of some of the key duties are below:

  • Analyse the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), especially those relating to financial metrics such as Revenue, Compensation, Operating Expenses, Growth and Margin
  • Develop financial models and analyse them to support strategic initiatives
  • Assist in the annual budget process including meeting timelines and deliverables, while collaborating with business leads to identify and report key performance indicators
  • Provide analysis and commentary to the Executive group (UK, International and US) on Business Plan; Budget and Forecasts.
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to understand revenue sources and mechanics
  • Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and forecasting
  • Ability to use and implement business intelligence tools and dashboard reports
  • Provide analysis of P&L costings and trending analysis
  • Ad Hoc analysis: reporting and presentations, as required
  • Analyse monthly business spend, including but not limited to compensation and vendor / outside spend, and dig into results to find insightful trends or anomalies

For this role, the business is seeking a Qualified Accountant - (ACCA / ICAS / ACA / CIMA or equivalent). Previous experience in an FP&A focused role in Finance will be important, alongside extensive experience in a reporting / management accounting environment. Very good Excel skills will be really key for this position with experience in Macros / Pivot / VBA etc. in particular.
