Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with leading manufacturing business based outside Glasgow who are looking to add a Senior Finance Project Manager to their team for an interim role lasting 12-18 months. This role will be integral to supporting on a change project where you will be providing senior Project Leadership across Operations Finance, whilst working with the Operations Finance Leadership Team to ensure timely and accurate input to strategic Company projects and reviews. Although operating at a senior level and having regular interaction with the CFO and other members of the leadership team this role will require a hands-on approach with someone having the ability to interact at all levels of the organisation, digging into the detail whilst being a good influencer. A summary of some of the key aspects of the role are below:
- Review, assess, develop and recommend improvements to the product costing methodology and support teams with the successful implementation
- Provide senior Finance project Leadership to key strategic projects, whilst working with the Operations Finance Leadership Team and senior business stakeholders to ensure accurate input and insights are fully represented
- Working with the Finance Teams, provide senior Project Management support and direction to ensure timely and comprehensive input is produced
- To review and ensure timely and accurate monthly and year end reporting in line with Group requirements and appropriate support for external audit purposes with appropriate analytical financial commentary to support the reports
- Appraise key operational capital projects to assess their suitability for the business from a financial perspective whilst working with the local Operations Finance Teams
- Monitor working capital levels, recommended and implement value reduction initiatives to maximise investment returns
- Assess existing operations and propose sustainable alternatives where appropriate to maximise returns and promote leading edge cost reduction strategies and maximising opportunities
- Promote, develop and embed a “one team” approach to Finance in support of the delivery of the Finance function
This is a senior level interim role offering a candidate the opportunity to be an integral part of a change project where they can drive improvements and influence at senior level across a large and complex organisation.
