Rutherford Cross is delighted to support a leading organisation in Scotland’s leisure and tourism industry to appoint a Senior Finance Business Partner.
This is an opportunity to be part of a tight knit team responsible for the organisation’s planning, budget setting and monitoring of processes and ensuring they track with the organisations strategic visions.
The postholder will work closely with head of departments and directors assuring alignment of activities with the organisations risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be involved in the planning, setting and monitoring of budgets for projects. Ensuring monthly reviews and forecasts are undertaken to ensure budget controls remain accurate
- Regularly prepare reports in line with the organisations performance management procedures. Including the development of metrics, KPI’s and outcomes documenting all in the appropriate manner
- Provide information and support for Head of Departments and Directors, providing monthly financial packs discussing the variances and feeding back into to the overall budget forecast
- Work closely with the HR Business Partners to monitor payroll budget and actuals. Including monthly reporting on headcount, FTE’s and staff costs, highlighting any variances and providing reasoning
Skills & Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (CA,ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA)
- Strong leadership and business partnering experience
- Significant experience in budget management and controls
- Significant experience in financial operations and planning
- Experience working with an ERP system
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and experience of working with key stakeholders
- Ability to effectively communicate finance information to non-finance individuals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills
