Description

Rutherford Cross are delighted to be working with a well-respected Public Sector Organisation in order to recruit a Senior Finance Business Partner. This role offers the opportunity to gain great exposure and has excellent progression pathways within the organisation. On offer is a salary of up to £46-51k (dependent on experience), with flexible, hybrid working and an exceptional holiday allowance and pension package.

This role would be suited to a qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) seeking to further progress their career. Ideally, we are looking to speak to individuals with relevant experience working in a similar role.

Some of the key duties include:

  • Lead the Finance Business Partnering team with 1 direct report
  • Directly support the Director in undertaking the financial management of budget
  • Provide accurate, timely and clear management information including financial
  • performance, strategic financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Be the key source of financial expertise, providing specialist advice to underpin the development and delivery of the organisation’s strategy
  • Provide expert and strategic advice and guidance to relevant stakeholders
  • Undertake financial analysis and due diligence assessment of new initiatives
  • Identify areas of potential financial efficiency, through objective financial review and challenge
  • Ensure that all activity is subject to rigorous budgetary monitoring, forecasting and control
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Full qualified accountant (ACCA/ICAS/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Relevant experience working in a similar finance role
  • Strategic financial management and leadership experience
  • Significant knowledge and experience of financial and budgetary control systems
  • Considerable experience of leading budgeting, forecasting and reporting
  • Proven track record of developing and securing excellent business relationships
  • Highly developed IT skills, especially Word and Excel
  • Proven ability to work effectively to tight deadlines and prioritise and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills, to convey complex financial information to a wide audience, including non-financial colleagues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
