Description

Rutherford Cross is working with a central Glasgow based business with an international presence who have ambitious growth plans for the future to recruit for a newly created role of Senior Finance Business Partner. This role is on a fixed term basis of 12 months and will be mainly working remotely offering a lot of flexibility to where candidates might be based. This is a crucial role for the organisation and will support the Head of Finance and the Finance Business Partner Group through a period of growth and will include the opportunity to coach and support other team members without having direct line management responsibility. The business are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner with strong FP&A skills and prior experience in a role focused on driving optimum business performance through identifying risks and opportunities. A summary of some of the key duties are below:

  • Working with, and coaching, finance business partners in production of month-end financial reporting for their respective individual business units
  • Producing consolidated month end results and forecast
  • Producing financial and non-financial KPIs
  • Presenting at Operational Business Reviews – overview of financial results with forecast and commentary. Providing coaching to other members of the Finance Business Partnering Team to allow increased participation in these reviews
  • Supporting all growth initiative discussions including evaluating new markets
  • Assessment of quality of MI and working on improvements where necessary
  • Performing financial due diligence where required and post transaction working on integration

This role is varied and has broad commercial exposure making it a really exciting opportunity. Being a newly created role there will be a lot of opportunity to develop the role and have autonomy while also coaching and mentoring others. The company are seeking a fully qualified accountant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a proven track record in building relationships across a business. Leadership qualities are key to be able to mentor others and drive forward improvements. The role is offering a great salary along with a mainly home based role.
