Our client, a well-known Manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Dunfermline are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their busy finance team.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the following:

• Supports the monthly general accounting financial close, ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies. Includes journal entry processing, capitalized variance calculation and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Responsible for financial support and ensuring accurate financial data of specific UK Company.
• Prepares local financial reports and analysis on the actual and projected company financial position, providing detailed explanations on variances to plan.
• Assists with the preparation of the quarterly legal entity tax package file. Performs segment analysis for the International Tax Department.
• Prepares the quarterly legal entity full year income forecast for submission to the International Tax Department.
• Prepares cash flow forecasts for the corporate treasury department.
• Supports the preparation of the annual Statutory Financial Statements, including all the analysis and supporting documentation requirements of the tax auditors.
• Local support for accounting projects and process standardization.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/CA)
• Must have a degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Past experience with UK/US GAAP.
• Strong analytical & problem solving skills.
• Strong working knowledge of excel.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems.
