Description
Rutherford Cross is working with a large-scale retail organisation to recruit a Purchase Ledger Manager. This role will report to the Group Finance Manager and be joining a high-performance Finance team. As the Purchase Ledger Manager, you will be leading a fast-paced and high-volume department and will be managing the entire Accounts Payable Function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing, coaching, training and overseeing 4 direct reports within the Purchase Ledger team
- Implementing and monitoring procedures
- Managing the month-end process for Purchase Ledger
- Allocation and authorisation of purchase invoices
- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the Purchase Ledger
- Liaison with key stakeholders across the business
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
- Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries as required by the company
- Review of unallocated cash and credits
- Filing invoices and statements, keeping records of all products and services purchased with company money
- Processing BACS payments and preparing payment runs
- Month end duties – to assist the Accountant with the preparation of month end reports and ledger reconciliation
- Maintaining strong business relationships with suppliers
- Ad-hoc queries and projects
The Candidate:
- Experience working in a high-volume purchase ledger team
- Supervision / Management experience
- Great attention to detail
- Analytical thinker
- Self-discipline
- Strong interpersonal skills, can work well within a team
- Ability to work to monthly deadlines
- Good IT Skills
