Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Production Analyst to join a global drinks business, based in Glasgow. This role reports to the Business Analysis Manager and provides finance support across the spirit Production and Maturing Inventory operations which include, Distillation, Warehousing, Maturing Inventory and Spirit Costing Management through the key financial milestones such as month end, budgets, estimates and group reporting.

Ideally, we are interested in speaking with part-qualified or newly qualified accountants (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong problem-solving skills, and proven ability to manage large volumes of data to produce meaningful analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Month End accounting process; including preparation and posting of journals, Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations with high quality analysis of variances and clear explanation risks or opportunities. Monthly analysis for management packs
  • Ad-hoc support of the team and learn key tasks require to provide support/cover when required over both the Production and Inventory analysts
  • Prepare and present analysis of mandatory group reporting requirements such as Maturing Inventory Cash, Cereal/Botanical & Spirit Purchasing reports
  • Assist with annual Standard Cost setting process which includes collaboration with other business areas, populating and managing data models, analysis of cost evolutions across all brands
  • Spirit variance analysis and reporting with a requirement to manage/manipulating large volumes of multiple source data and covert to meaningful analysis and reports highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Provide support through delivery of new product developments (NPD’s) cost and product value assessment
  • Assess routine process Support and drive process improvement by working closely within the team to establish process efficiencies and adoption of new tool where required. (i.e., Power BI, Power Pivots etc.)

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified or part-qualified accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Proactive individual

  • Demonstrated ability to manage workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
  • PowerBi experience would be advantageous
