Process Consultant (Edinburgh city centre) £300 - £350 per day (6 months)
A prestigious Wealth Management company requires an experienced Process Consultant to identify process efficiencies to be made within the Operations area, and to take these through to implementation and control.
We believe that there is likely to be substantial gains to be made in time and efficiency with a degree of automation being introduced (e.g. spreadsheet macros, simple VBA coding), whilst ensuring that there is no additional risk introduced to the processes.
The majority of processes in both instances involve using Excel spreadsheets for review purposes, extraction of data and input of data for areas including oversight, investment operations and dealing. It is key that this resource has the capability to improve these spreadsheets through automation.
Systems/software used include, but will likely not be limited to, MS Office, Factset (market data vendor system), and Figaro (a third party administrator system).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with key stakeholders in operations to drive, facilitate and implement end to end process change
- The identification and evaluation of improvement opportunities to support the process management transformation objectives
- Communicating, presenting, negotiating and influencing across the business
- Produce process maps for current and future state process which are regularly reviewed and maintained.
- Use detailed knowledge and understanding of process improvement techniques to facilitate large scale/strategically important process interventions and implementation from initiation to completion
- Ensure that all process improvements are controlled and monitored on an ongoing basis through effective and appropriate metrics
- Make strong recommendations to Stakeholders on process optimisation opportunities and implementation plans.
We are seeking an individual who can carry out some travel to London and with strong Six Sigma Process Improvement capability, strong Excel and strong Visual Basic skills
