Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnered with a leading Asset and Investment Manager currently seeking a Finance Manager to join their team. This role will report directly to the CEO whilst working closely with the wider operation on delivering effective accounting support for the organisation.

This opportunity will also report to the board who regularly meet, presenting key financial data whilst also updating key stakeholders on financial performance.

Key duties include:

• Ensuring the company's ledgers are up to date and regularly reconciled
• Ensuring monthly accounting entries are posted with no material errors
• Reconciling and posting monthly Payroll
• Producing and maintaining monthly financial reports and reconciliations for the firm
• Producing monthly management accounts
• Assisting with quarterly FCA returns
• Working with the external auditor in the preparation of the annual statutory accounts
• Working with the external tax advisors in the preparation of the Corporation Tax returns
• Preparation of the annual budget
• Preparation of quarterly VAT Returns

Experience required:

• Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACCA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of working within an FCA regulated environment
• Previous experience within an Asset or Investment Management business is desirable
• Awareness of the FCA regulatory environment
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and modelling
• Excellent client focus and attention to detail
• Experience using accounting software (Aderant preferable but not essential)
