Description
Rutherford Cross are working with a Specialist Public Sector organisation to recruit a Part-Time Credit Controller. Based in Edinburgh with locations throughout Scotland, this role offers the opportunity to join a growing organisation. The purpose of this role is to assist with the credit control activities across all locations of the business.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for own debtors’ accounts ledger and contacting debtors to ensure payment of outstanding invoices
- Deal with late payments
- Carry out credit checks on new customers and opening new credit accounts
- Record any communication with clients
- Resolve client problems and queries
- Liaise internally with client managers and staff to progress any issues
- Send copy invoices and credit notes externally
- Process Direct Debit mandates – issuing letters to bank, input information onto CBS
- Run monthly account statements
- Reconcile accounts regularly and at month end for specific customers within debtors’ ledger
- Report to management on outstanding issues and inform them early of potential debtors’ problems
- Liaise closely with treasury team to ensure correct allocation of receipts and resolution of queries
