Description

Rutherford Cross are working with a Specialist Public Sector organisation to recruit a Part-Time Credit Controller. Based in Edinburgh with locations throughout Scotland, this role offers the opportunity to join a growing organisation. The purpose of this role is to assist with the credit control activities across all locations of the business.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for own debtors’ accounts ledger and contacting debtors to ensure payment of outstanding invoices
  • Deal with late payments
  • Carry out credit checks on new customers and opening new credit accounts
  • Record any communication with clients
  • Resolve client problems and queries
  • Liaise internally with client managers and staff to progress any issues
  • Send copy invoices and credit notes externally
  • Process Direct Debit mandates – issuing letters to bank, input information onto CBS
  • Run monthly account statements
  • Reconcile accounts regularly and at month end for specific customers within debtors’ ledger
  • Report to management on outstanding issues and inform them early of potential debtors’ problems
  • Liaise closely with treasury team to ensure correct allocation of receipts and resolution of queries
