Our client is an impressive market leader within its sector. Due to an internal restructure, they are seeking an Operations Finance Analyst in the East Kilbride to support both the operation and finance teams in Scotland and further afield.
This role will directly report into the Financial Controller but will also collaboratively engage with Projects Accounts to ensure that the costing of material is correctly managed and provide relevant financial support to the Operational Managers. To be successful you need to be a high calibre individual who can establish strong effective working relationships with both finance and non-financial colleagues.
The main responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and review supply chain management reporting packs required for onward internal and reporting purposes
- Support and maintain the financial modelling framework to support the quarterly business forecasting process
- To assist in challenging and analysing inputs from the functions based on quarterly inputs for supply chain and material
- Hold monthly reviews with the relevant functions to assess performance against annual operating plan and forecasts
- Review and control data integrity
- To prepare complex and detailed financial performance
- To be capable of handling large volumes of data and consolidating and reporting this data effectively through the utilisation of strong IT skills
- Check and review of all cost variations reports coming through to ensure these are incorporated to bills of material
- To provide support to Business Functions on all matters having a potential financial impact to the business
- To ensure the overall integrity of financial reporting information for business performance
- Labour & overhead performance against budget/forecast
- Annual budget and quarterly forecasting review and analysis
- Supply chain performance to budget/forecast
- To develop strong and productive working relationships with the wider organisation
A summary of key individual requirements are as follows:
- Degree qualified with relevant experience
- Accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience will be considered
- Good communication skills
- Excellent IT Skills
- Using knowledge and experience to promote process improvement
- Effective relationship management skills
